Life V. 1

Sharing the love for night shots

While I haven’t posted in a while, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I haven’t thought about it nor that I don’t intend to continue posting regularly. Since returning from the Bahamas, I’ve spent the vast majority of my time playing “catch-up” with my classes and trying to get through all of the 2200+ pictures that Steve and I took.

So to recap the new years resolutions a month in into battle, I’d like to think that I’ve mainly stayed on course.
For photography, I have pretty much taken a picture a day (or an average of over 6 if we spread my total count for this year over 365 days), and despite my return from the Bahamas, I have been a regular poster. I’ve also started to rethink my strategy on posting / writing everyday, as well. I started to think that if I just go and force myself to post everyday, chances are the quality of my posts will decrease. So, in that case, I’m going to attempt to post as frequent as possible while posting only quality writings and quality pictures!

On top of that, I’ve also decided to add 2 more things to the Super Cool List of Things To Do in 2009. I want to design a T-shirt of some sort, and get it custom printed somewhere. I honestly haven’t looked too far into it, but maybe if I can gather up a group of interestee’s we could open up some sort of online T’s store. That would prove to be fairly cool!

I also want to write a very detailed explanation of an unbelievably cool game called “Hot-Pooling.”

More on that to come this week.

But for the time being, enjoy the night exposure that steve and I took. It’s got an exposure of over a minute to produce an “evenly-lit” scene, considering it was like 11pm and pitch black out.

Success…. success

I don’t think things could have went much better yesterday.. except maybe a tince more sun… but we got what we needed.. and it looked great!
We ended up with about an 8am start instead of 5…. the night before was spent with the locals (or “Family” as they said). They treated us great… took us for rides in the back of their trucks and took us to all of their favorite bars to meet the owners. It was actually kind of ridiculous.. but hilarious at the same time. Videos to come.

But yea.. yesterday was so sweet. Nothing else is planned for today, and we actually have some sun. So… hammock here I come! Check out a taster of the pictures from yesterday! We haven’t even got into the super sweet stuff yet!

Pretty sick eh?
