Hint of the day: Gravatars – it allows you to upload a picture (thus avatar) that is linked to your email account and will follow you around the web! Most wordpress themes have an avatar function, so you might as well set it up so that everyone can see your pretty mug.
My Spring Softball league came to an end last night in fine fashion. Begun with upsetting the #1 seed in the semis and the #2 seed in the finals. Rock on, fine softball players, rock on.
Departure for the homeland is in a mere 10 days. I’ve been trying to keep the legs fresh and rested, but still ready to bike. It’s been tough fitting in the rides that I’m normally used to… it seems that life has picked up a little bit and setting aside the 3-5hrs is becoming more and more hard. I think this weekend I’ll do one more hoo-raw in a long-distance fashion and stretch the legs out good.
How does one direct the scarce resource that is their time, into better educating themselves?
This is the predicament:
I want to learn to design (visually… and technically – {technical aspects of the web})… to market… to better my skills in photography and overall life.
168 hours a week.
7ish hours of a sleep… (I set my iphone time to 7 hrs 21 minutes – trying to slowly cut it down by minutes a week).
= < 119 hours of life.. and we all know how fast it flies.
It’s hard to dedicate more than an hour or two on the bike a day…. not to mention that next week I’m planning on doing 2 or 3 two-a-days (one ride in the morning, one in late afternoon / evening).
.. but more so, how am I supposed to sit down and dedicate more time to things that I want to get better at?
Oh the life.
Went to see Jon Dore last night… he is ultimately the man.
I went to MEC the other day. It’s sick. I approve ultimately.
New goggles.. new shirt.. and some new fancy dancy tight things.
Gotta design some shirtings… got the ideas.. gotta put the ideas to paper – paper to digital – digital to print.
Another thing – to follow up to my previous post about sharing the basketball videos and the grad video with the class – I came across a file sharing sight, that allows you to share a file up to 5gbs in size (I think mine would hover around a gig).. so I’m going to try it first. I mean a somewhat dedicated server would be a zillion times faster than a torrent. I’ll let you know!
Although, I heard, there once was a guy/girl person who lived for two things: matter and a full bladder. Thus this young soul wandered the grounds to and fro in the search of such bounty. What a waste, for little did they know none such was in the county..
